Pigs are awesome!! =D

Hi! =D I decided to tell you all about what I did today! It was,well, a photo shoot of sorts. =D My mom and I had to take some pictures of pigs for our up-coming pig sale. It was kind of difficult and it takes a lot of patience but we got through it!!! This one below is (for now) my favorite! Of course he is the runt!! =D I am always

drawn to the smaller more 'sickly' ones I guess! =)

And most of the time (after a bit of training) they are quite pleasant animals to
be around! =D

Hello!! Well, I'm trying to post more often but I can't think of anything to say!!!! So, since this is my blog I thought I should tell everyone looking on it a few interesting things about myself! =) All these things are my favorite............

Food(s): Well I like most foods but the ones I like best are probably, pineapple and corn dogs =D

Animal(s): Horses (boy do I wish I could have one!) Dogs (I love my dog Morgan!) And I also like pigs, goats and cows =D

Color(s): I like pink (like hot pink) lime green, and lavender. I very much enjoy all colors and the different varieties of them! =D

Sport(s): Volleyball!!! I love it! =)

I am 100% country and I wouldn't trade it for the world!!! And I plan to be a Vet Tech when I am older, after all the puppies died I thought that I just HAD to be able to prevent that, even if it comes with a few heart breaks. I adore animals and I want to be able to help them with the best of my ability! =D See ya'll next time!!!

My lil' brother Corby!!

I just LOVE this boy!!! This is one topic that I feel like I could go on forever and ever and it would still be interesting!!! =) He says the FUNNIEST things that sometimes I just can't get over!!! I also love this picture of him, he almost never smiles for the camera, so I just had to share it with all of you!! Here are some (only some, I could go on and on) of Corbin's funniest 'sayings' or moments : The one that comes right off the top of my head is....One day, Corbin was jumping on my parents bed and mom told him not to do that because he could get hurt very bad and Corbin said, "Mom, ya better put those words on a plate and hang it on the wall because I won't remember it!" Hahaha! =) Yesterday.......mom told Corbin that her and dad where going on a date. "You're going on a date." He stated then giggled. "Are ya gonna kiss??" mom then said "yup!" then Corbin said, "If you kiss I'm never gonna live here again!!" Hehehe! He is SO ornery and I LOVE him!!!! And in honor of him I even did all these words in his favorite color!!!

Hey everyone!!!! Right now my life is pretty good =D Around the farm our cows are about ready to have their calves. And our baby piglets are SOO cute!!! We do have one baby calf already and she is SOO adorable!!! I named her Nancy but I don't know if my dad will let it stay that way =) My dog is also about ready to pop! (as we say =) I hope all of them are very healthy and none of them die. I am a major animal lover and I don't like to see them die =D I hope all of you have wonderful weeks!!!

Hello Again! =)

Hello all my fellow blog readers!!! =) I'm sorry I haven't wrote on here so long. =( But anyway, I 'm on here again to update it.......although you guys are all probably friends with me on FB! Oh well!!! =)

So today I woke up at 6:15 am. I wanted to wake up at 5:45! That way I could have had 45 min to get ready rather than 15! Okay, you are probably wondering why in the world I woke up that early. (It isn't actually that early for most of ya but for me? YES!!!) Anyway, I went to the church. And from there we went to camp shipshewanna. There we raked leaves. There was TONS of them! When you think raking leaves you think not very fun,why? Well, for one our youth went together, that ALWAYS makes it lot's of pure FUN! And we just wanted to pitch in and help out the camp! They fed us lunch, and then we were off! And now I'm at home! Oh, home sweet home!!! =)

Fair, again! =)

Grace, Emma and I are chillin' with our feet in the water tank =) That was fun! We were really hot, so we decided to stick our feet in the cow's water tank!!! =P We just stood up in it but then we got the idea to sit on the buckets!! That was a very fun day. I am soooo glad I got to have Grace come to the fair. She was a big help to us! And I know she would be more than happy to do it again! =) This was Tuesday. That was probably the busiest day of the week, but also the most fun!! Not only was it the CRAZY day of showing pigs but dollar rides day. So it was $1.00 for each ride. That was fun.........but we got sorta sick. =( That wasn't fun!!!! =) HEHEHEHE

Gobble Gobble =)

Here is me and my turkey, 'Cinderella'! She now lives in our freezer!!!! lol =) Uhh......we have three HUGE turkeys in our freezer!!!!!!!!!!!!Oooooooo!!! I 'm already excited for Thanksgiving!!!! lol =) Hehehe. I just realized this........ I have one sleeve rolled up and one down!!!! Hehehehehehe!!!! I had an awesome time at my fair last week. And I'm looking forward to an awesome week at Elkhart Co. fair too! I have a lot of fair pictures to post. This is only the beginning. C ya'll sometime don't know when prolly most of ya Sunday. Faith. So Little =)

Hehe =) I just randomly chose this pic. ! But it's okay because I love it!! Yup, that's my baby girl!(well not exactly 'mine' but oh well! lol :) That was when she was still in the hospital so she is prolly only a night old at the most! Sooooo little! And look how much hair she has!!!!!!!! She has lost most of it! But I think it's going to grow back blonde like mine did so "YEAH!"
I won't be the odd ball anymore=) hehe.... not that being the odd ball is a bad thing! =) ohhhhhhh.............I have ran out of words.......for now.................=)

Hey everyone!!!! I haven't got a chance to be on here in a while with fair and everything...........but here I am now so it's all good!!!!! If you look down at one of my older posts titled 'I'm Excited ' it says all the things I did. And here is what I got for all of them: For my Misc. craft (which was a book wreath.... I'll have to post pics.) I got a Blue Award. For my None Wearable Sewing I also got a Blue Award. For my pigs, ( I ended up only doing two because the one Duroc I was going to do tripped or something and hurt her leg and couldn't walk very well so we just left her home.) I got Champion Berk Gilt. YIPPEE!!!! That's really what I wanted to win with and I did!!!!!! And I also got Champion Berkshire Barrow. Yeah! I'm happy about that too! For my heifer I got Reserve Champion Chianina. ( KEY-A-NINA) BUTTTTTT...................the secret to that one is........there were only two in the class!!!!! hehehehehe =) Yes... I am very happy with everything I did and everything I got!!! I'll have to post pictures of everything and show you guys. Well see ya'll later!

Fair =)

Hello ya'll :) Yesterday was our official starting of the fair..........ohhhhhh(sigh)
Sooooooo much tiring work.......ahhhhh!!! I'm not sure how to react. The fair doesn't even really start until tomorrrow. But for us??? Friday.... Last night. (Friday!!!)
We took our pigs in.....and WHY we have to take them in two whole exhausting days before the fair even starts is BEYOND me=) So that makes NINE whole exhausting days instead of seven. (practically 8, because we would have to take them in one day early anyway.... but ohhhh well:) ANYWHO!!!!! Today we took our calves and turkeys in........ohhhhhh busy, busy!!! But one GREAT / AMAZING / WONDERFUL thing that happed was I got to see my Grandma and Grandpa for the first time in FOREVER!!!! (not really... but that's sure what it seems like:)
Well... better get to bed now, (actually i prolly should have been in bed a long time ago..................oh well!hehehe!!!! ;) got another exhausting (yet fun! =) day ahead of me!!!! =) See ya'll later (hopefully soon because I'm super busy, as you can prolly see! ;) Okay here i go... i'm say'in it... 4th of July

I had so much fun on the 4th! We went to watch fireworks on the 3rd at Winona Lake. We sat on the hill at the fairgrounds. They were pretty good. But it seemed something went wrong and they weren't very long. One of the fireworks shot sideways instead of straight up. I hope no one got hurt.
On Sunday went to the Hertsel's house for lunch and a swimming party! It was soooo much fun! The pool was super cold!!!! And we played this really fun football-like game!!! After we swam for a while we came home to do chores, but we all actually ended up taking naps!! lol =) After we all got around and did chores we went back to Nappanee ( where the Hertsal's live) and walked to the parade. We got a bunch of Tootsie rolls and went back to their house and waited for like an hour or so. Then we left and went to McDonald's for a bite to eat and went to a church to watch fireworks! The were pretty good too. So we got to have double the fun!!!!!!
So yes, I had an AWESOME weekend!!! Blahahahahahahaha!!! Sorry, I just thought I'd do that!!!!

Well I hope ya'll have an awesome week! I'm excited for next week also. I'm going to see Gram and Poppy for the first time in what seems like forever!!!

Stella Mae, My Pig

Last years ' Champion Berkshire Gilt ' and me! I am also hoping to have the champ. Berk this year too. ( And actually if I did it would be with this pigs daughter!) Last year we did really well. Hopefully we do this year too! =) I like showing off my pigs and cows!!! =D

Learning new things=

I've had a GREAT day today!! I got to mow the yard!!!!!! I know, I know, I'm weird!! =)
But it's MUCH better than dishes or scoopin' poop!!!!! And I felt so independent because usually only Austin or Dad do it but now I can!!! The only problem is that I have to lean back on the seat for the mower to stay running. It was hard to push the pedals AND lean back at the same time!! (And if you know me I not necessarily the tallest person ever!!! =) So, I learned how to mow on a riding mower. But that's not it..........

I also learned how to clip a pig!!!!

That's something we do for show. We take clippers ( sorta like hair clippers for poeple, only made for pig hair!) and just shave the pig!!! Annabelle, my pig looks really wierd because she moved so much while my dad was trying to clip her face!!! He clipped her face hair shorter than the rest of her body and she kept moving so it went out to her shoulders!!! So her face and shoulder hair is really short and the rest of her body's hair is longer!!!! It's really hard to clip a squirmy pig's hair!!!

And now I'm just sittin' here typing this. I'm feeling sorta sad right now=( I'll maybe tell you why another day.

The Youth Service Project / A very fun time! =)

Hey ya'll!! I am having so much fun creating this blog. Thanks for all the feed back! I enjoy hearing what everyone has to say about my posts.=)

Okay, so tonight we ( Austin, by big bro, and I) went to the youth service project.

It was GREAT! We got quite a bit of canned goods for Family Christian Development Center. And we also got some people to pray with us! So we were split into groups, my group was: Me, Bailey, Katie, Logan, and Jacob. I believe that's it. We went around town house to house asking for canned goods, then if or if not they gave us some we asked if they had any prayer requests. Some said yes, so and so has this or so and so has that. Then we asked if they would like us to pray. Right then and there. ( By the way, most of the time it was Bailey and I on one side of the road and the rest of them on the other side of the road.) We had two people that answered yes. And we prayed. And we also had one that said a prayer request, but didn't feel comfortable praying with us.

Then we went to Little Paws play ground and picked up trash. So we looked like weird people with white gloves and black trash bags!!!! =) I am sooooo glad I have such an awesome youth group to have so much fun with!!!

I'm Excited!!!!! =)

I'm soo excited about fair! It's going to be soooo fun!!!

Okay so here are the thigs I'm doing:

I'm showing three pigs, 2 gilts (girls) and 1 barrow (boy),

There is Annabelle and she is a Berkshire. She is mostly black with a few white spots. There is Rosie (but we call here MJ- short for Macy Jr. :) She is a Duroc. She is red.(Or at least she is supossed to be, she prolly looks more brown than red. :) There is also my barrow, Johnny. He, like Annabelle, is a Berkshire. (Mostly black with some small white spots.) I am also doing a calf. She is not exactly a big 'cow' but not a 'baby' cow.) I'm also doing misc. craft, sewing and photography. So yeah I'm REALLY excited!!!!!!!! I love fair! It's so much fun!

I can't wait to ride rides!!! =) And the food?! All I've got to say about that is

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YUM!!!!!!YUMMERDOODLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Nickname =)

Okay so.....when i was a young warthog=)..........................................

Sorry:) I couldn't help but to break into song=D lol

So, the story goes like this:

When I was little ( about 18 months) I shared a bedroom with Austin and Dakota. At night when we went to bed I wouldn't sleep. I would sit there and talk! I would talk and talk and talk until Austin and Dakota would call mom saying,

"Mom, she won't stop talking. Make her stop, we can't sleep!"

So mom would come in and tell me to stop talking. She called me her little 'Babbling Brook' !!! Yup. I'm a babbler!!!! I actually think to this day I still am!!!!!! =D lol

FUN!!! =D

Last night I went to a youth camp out! I had sooooooo much fun!!! We played soccer for a little while. Then after everybody was there we took a break for like 30 min. We just ate chips and drank pop!=) Then we played 'capture the flag'. That was FUN!!!:) While we were playing capture the flag one of the kids fell in the ditch!!!! ( It wasn't like a big one or anything. Just a small little dip in the ground.) Yeah so he got all wet!! It was funny because he didn't really care, he was like, "It feels good!" ( Yeah because it was really hot out!) So then he just changed into his pajama's. So yeah, we had a BLAST!!!!! After we did that we kinda just hung around and played this and that, here and there! Later that night we played 'mission impossible'. Then we played 'big bad wolf', hung around some more, we had s'mores, played a few little games and got ready for bed. Then went to bed!!!!!! The girls tent was AWESOME!!!! I slept pretty good. Thankfully!

This morning we took all the tents down and got everything in the gym before it started to rain.
Dad came and got us at 8:00 am. and took us to a beef workshop. It was on showmanship.
I am now lazily/tiredly watching 'Wizard of Oz'.

I will soon figure out how to post pictures, my bro will help with that!!!!
